Asari NPC (Mass Effect) the widow for XPS -V2- by Taleeze Asari NPC (Mass Effect) the widow for XPS -V2- by Taleeze
*updated may 2nd*
This is an NPC from ME3. The widow, named Veshra, is a side quest, you discover her dead partner at the Ardat Yakshi Monastery. The datapad recording also tells their names.

The dress is amazing.

The AY monastery mission is one of my favourite missions. The monastery looked fantastic, the datapads provided an interesting glimpse into life there, and of course poor Samara and her daughters... The dead commando and her story was just a small detail, but very memorable for its emotional impact. They really did well on these small things, like the Blue Rose of Illium, or the suicidal commando at the hospital, or the desperate Human soldier who was trying to send her daughter to Thessia, which was made even more tragic because Thessia was attacked soon after.

yeah! all those things! Sweating a little...
These are things that make Bioware games so great and I agree, the Monastery is one of the best side missions.
Too bad so many stories end so badly. (we do not know about the asari daughter with certainty though)

Yes, with any luck she never made it there.

Or she made it through!
She could have been with relatives in the countryside or something.

True, but don't you think that would be too optimistic for ME3?
And supposedly Thessia was devastated even worse than Earth, so I hope her transport was diverted somewhere else before the Reapers hit.

well, I am an optimistic person :)

I'd say Earth and Thessia are a close match in destruction, Earth is longer under occupation and becomes the epi centre in London.
The Reapers are not out to simply destroy, they are out to reap as many people as possible and they have time. We learn from Javik that they were eating through their cycle fro a  century already when Javik was born and raised. So you can assume that of course the landing zones are devastated and overrun fast but in remote regions or not as densly populated areas the destructions are much lesser and people can hide and hold out.
If you read through the codex entries for major colonial worlds (I mainly know asari ones) the stories are very similar, people hiding out and fighting back from the remoter areas of the worlds, under the ice, from jungle and the like.
So, while ME3 and the destruction we see is vast, survival is possible (optimistic me)

But the spaceports are in the populated areas... :)
Let's just hope she made it, one way or the other.  And at least one of her mothers as well.

yeah, spaceports will be flattened, like most major infrastructure centres!
yes, let's hope for that! I am sure.

One of my characters was fighting on Thessia and she rarely talks about it though. It must have been very shitty, the Banshees were the worst. None of her original unit made it out and that almost broke her.

There's a lot of crazy stuff that comes from that mission. It was a cool mission though. I always remember the view first, of all things...

I like the level too. The architecture and the small stories you find in the place are superb.

Very much so. It'd be interesting to see without all the death and banshees.

I just did a larger screenshooting spree with flycam in there. I may use stuff as background on occasions
